A Shifting Arts Release presents ‘At the End of the World, Plant a Tree’ an album inspired in the California wildfires of 2020 and the book with the same title by Adam Greenfield.
This is the debut album from SO/LO a project by Erich Martino of music informed by current global events and the relationship and impact of society, technology and progress on planet earth.
The album was developed as a reaction to the events we all were experiencing during lockdown and the consequences that our living standards have on the environment. The narrative in the music and texts from Adam Greenfield was enriched by the visual collaborations of the design of Hugh Miller and the photography of Andrew Hobbs.
Recorded between London and San Francisco by Erich Martino.
All tracks written, arranged, performed and produced by SO/LO (Erich Martino), Bass on “Awake” and “Fire” by Jay Allison, Mastering Harold LaRue Mastering
The title “At the end of the world, plant a tree” some excerpts and the voice of Adam Greenfield belong to his pamphlet with the same title published in September 2020 and are used with kind permission and agreement with the author.
